What does the COMPREHENSIVE test analyse?

The COMPREHENSIVE health and well-being test includes a complete haemogram and analyses 39 markers of the most important areas of our body: lipid, liver, renal, thyroid, iron and diabetic profiles, haemogram, biochemistry, vitamins and minerals, providing you with a comprehensive insight into your health. We also offer an ESSENTIAL health and well-being test that includes a complete haemogram and focuses on basic profiles such as lipid, liver, renal, diabetic and biochemical reference values, which will give you a general overview of your state of health.

To determine your cardiovascular risk, we analyse your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, which is why it is so important to check these markers annually.

We analyse different markers that allow us to assess and monitor liver function. Liver-related diseases include hepatitis or cirrhosis.

We assess kidney function through different markers. The renal profile consists of a set of tests necessary to assess kidney function. It measures a number of substances in the blood, including electrolytes, minerals and proteins to assess your health.

The parameters of this profile include fasting plasma glucose or the HbA1C test for glycated haemoglobin, both of which help to assess your diabetes risk or diabetes status. It is important to remember that plasma glucose testing is performed after fasting for at least 6 hours.

A complete haemogram can help diagnose the cause of signs and symptoms, such as weakness, fatigue, fever, swelling, bruising or bleeding. This panel of values can also help confirm suspicions of infection.

It analyses parameters that indicate the presence of inflammatory processes in the body, such as uric acid – which, if high, can lead to renal problems – and the C-reactive protein.

The thyroid profile is used to assess the function of the thyroid gland, which is responsible for controlling how the body uses energy. Proper thyroid function is critical because it affects almost every organ, including the heart.

Iron is an essential element in our body for the production of haemoglobin and the transport of oxygen in the blood. We analyse the levels of this mineral in the body, as low levels can cause anaemia, fatigue and dizziness, among other problems.

The clinical analysis of vitamin and mineral levels in the blood helps to assess whether there are sufficient concentrations to ensure good health.
